Simplex Conveyor is pleased to introduce the MDR Docksider, the first Reversible Motor Driven Roller single stage extendable conveyor designed for the loading and unloading of packages in high throughput environments.

The Docksider features an exclusive patent pending "Continuous Roller Surface". This unique design eliminates the vertical step between stages allowing the conveyor to be reversible. The Docksiders simple design, quality construction, small number of mechanical components and use of MDR technology result in a extendable conveyor that is safer, quieter and more reliable than any belted extendable conveyor while providing the employee a work area free of pinch points normally associated with belted extendable conveyors.

Our Docksider extendable conveyors are currently available in both 6'-6" & 9'-0" extensions with retracted lengths of 9'-0" and 12'-0" respectively. While BF dimensions of 24", 30" & 36" with 37-1/2" MDR zones and speeds to 328 fpm are standard, BF dimensions up to 48" are available. The simple design and small number of mechanical components of our Docksider extendable conveyor make it possible to deliver non-standard units in about the same time while helping to keep spare parts to a minimum.

We use the same Holjeron 35 watt 24V DC High Torque Motor Driven Roller in all our applications. This roller, in a 36" BF application with 37-1/2" MDR zones, easily transports 150 pounds up a 5 degree incline and 225 pounds at, or near, level. We can also provide configurations to suit whatever load range your operation may require.

Our All Purpose Docksider extendable conveyor combines the versatility of a belted conveyor with the features of our standard Docksider. The All Purpose Docksider has a 5' long belted entry section and the remaining rollers can be coated (optional).

Dual Operator Controls (not shown) and Reversing are standard features on all our Docksiders. The Dual Operator Controls feature allows an operator to start, stop, reverse product flow and extend or retract the extendable section from either side of the unit, eliminating the need for LH or RH specific conveyors. For uni-directional operation, simply select the direction and secure the reverse switch cover plates or, if preferred, the reverse switches can be omitted at the factory during the assembly process.

All Docksider extendable conveyors are shipped ready to run once positioned and anchored, by merely plugging it into any standard 110V AC power source. The design is setup to provide simple integration of an optional 2 roller transfer which can be used in both the uni-directional or bi-directional operation but is not a requirement for either. Other options include Slider Section Side Guards, Roller Brake, Coated Rollers, Run on Demand, and Heavier Gauge Rollers. Being a self contained 110 volt plug-in unit, all our Docksider extendable conveyors can be adapted to be fully portable for use at more than one location.

The Docksiders simple design, overall operating safety, small number of mechanical components, economical daily operating cost, limited cost of spare parts, savings on installation and maintenence and our exclusive 3 year warranty result in a extendable conveyor that is competitively priced and which has a significantly shorter ROI period.
